14 Days kenya safari

Day 1: Arrival

Upon arriving at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by your driver guide.

Meals and overnight: Hotel

 

Day 2: Nairobi – Tsavo National Park

After breakfast you will be transferred to the Wilson Airport for your flight to Tsavo. On arrival your driver guide shall be there waiting for you and ready to start your safari adventure.

 

Tsavo: Situated in Kenya’s south-west, Tsavo is an enormous wilderness area that has been divided into Tsavo East and Tsavo West National Parks. Combined, Tsavo is Kenya’s biggest park and, at 22,000 km² (13,671 miles), one of the world’s largest game sanctuaries. It is particularly well known for its large herds of elephants and captivating landscapes. Tsavo is one of the less populated game areas in Kenya and is perfect for those who want to enjoy a pristine wildlife experience. A highlight of Tsavo National Park is the spectacular Mzima Springs, where crystal-clear water flows through volcanic rock.

 

You will have an enroute game drive as you drive to your lodge and later in the afternoon you will go for your first game drive till sunset.

Day 3: Tsavo National Park

This day will be spent in Tsavo with morning and afternoon game drives. All meals at your overnight lodge.

Day 4: Tsavo – Amboseli National Park

After a hearty breakfast you will drive to Amboseli. With an enroute game drive you will drive to your lodge. After lunch and time at leisure you will go for an afternoon game drive.

Return to your overnight camp after sunset.

Amboseli National Park: is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to elephants among other wildlife species.

The Park offers spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro and has an endless underground water supply filtered through thousands of feet of volcanic rock from Kilimanjaro ice cap, which funnel into two clear water springs in the heart of the park. It features wildlife such as the African elephant, Cape buffalo, Impala, and Giraffe, lion, hyena, zebra and wildebeests among other African animals. There is also a variety of birds, both large and small.

 Day 5: Amboseli National Park

This day will be spent in Amboseli National Park with 0630hrs game drive returning to the camp for breakfast and have time at leisure enjoying the camp facilities. Later at 1600hrs you will have an afternoon game drive until late in the evening.

 Day 6: Amboseli – Samburu National Reserve

Departure will be in the morning after breakfast. You will be driven to the airstrip for your flight to Nairobi. On arrival in Nairobi, you will then board a flight to Samburu. Once in Samburu your driver guide will be the airstrip ready for a transfer to your camp. This will be followed by time at leisure, lunch and later a game drive as the sunset thus making it favourable to see the unique wildlife this is amazing game reserve.

Samburu: Wild and rugged, Samburu is fiercely beautiful with its arid savannahs watered by the lovely river Ewaso Ng’iro. It is also one of Kenya’s most protected areas and home to species only found north of the equator, from the reticulated giraffes, Grevy’s zebras, Beisa Oryx’s, gerenuk gazelles and greater and lesser kudu. You will arrive in time for lunch and check-in at the selected lodge/camp, a few minutes’ leisure then you proceed with the first thrilling game drive at the reserve till the sun sets, then drive back to your lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.

 Day 7: Samburu National Reserve

Rise and shine before the sun and head for an amazing early morning game drive – Samburu will present itself in a different light, shape, and wildlife action. Return to your lodge/camp for a late breakfast. You will have time at leisure as you enjoy the camp/lodge facilities. During the afternoon game drive, you will clearly see the difference in the day’s course – different animals, activities, different dynamics among them – something you must see to understand. and a delicious dinner at your lodge/camp will make the day a perfect one.

 Day 8: Samburu – Ol Pejeta Conservancy

After breakfast you will drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Arrival will be in good time for lunch followed by a late afternoon game drive. While on a game drive you will soon enter the conservancy at its northern side. Meet the chimpanzees accompanied by abundant wildlife, perhaps an endangered Grevy’s zebra comes along your way. We know that animals seen here are unique and worth undivided attention, but don’t forget to raise your eyes – the backdrop of Mount Kenya and Aberdare mountains adds to the magic!

 Day 9: Ol Pejeta Conservancy

This day will be spent enjoying this conservancy with meals at your overnight camp.

 Day 10: Ol Pejeta Conservancy – Maasai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast will be driven to the airstrip for your flight to Maasai Mara. After one hour of a scenic flight, that, itself, offers incomparable views of Kenya’s breath taking landscape from above, you’ll land in the centre of the action – right in the heart of Mara. Your driver guide will be waiting for you and your action-packed game viewing starts. Midday you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch and continue with your afternoon game drive.

Expect to see a lot, and we mean really a lot! Grazers at their dinner, predators, lazily deciding on what to catch, birds, and stunning nature will fill your camera – make sure to save some space for tomorrow’s wonders.

 Day 11 & 12: Maasai Mara Game Reserve

These two days will be spent exploring this eight of the world. On one day you will have Am and PM game drives while on the other day full day game drive where you depart after breakfast and with your picnic lunch boxes.

Maasai Mara promises grand sights, expect to encounter not only the Big five – lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, and leopard – but all the Big nine, including the cheetah, hippo, giraffe, and zebra. Antelopes, gazelles, bushbucks, elands, hartebeests,

wildebeests, hyenas, mongooses, and many, many more among mammals will cross your way. Swinging monkeys at treetops, and eagles, hawks, and vultures dotting the sky will add to your photo album.

 Day 13: Maasai Mara Game Reserve -Nairobi

You will be driven to the airstrip after breakfast for your flight to Nairobi. On arrival you will be transfer to your overnight hotel. Later in the evening you will go for farewell dinner at the carnivore restaurant.

 Day 14: Nairobi- Departure

The days starts leisurely as you came to the end of your adventurous holiday. The perfect way to end this will be by giving love to the orphaned baby elephants at Sheldrick Elephants Orphanage. After watching them in the wilderness you will get a chance to be close to them as well as touch as you show love.

These baby Elephants are rescue either after they lose their mother, get injured or at time when they get lost and are not able to locate the mother or the extended family. Once they are of age they are then taken back to the wilderness. After you will visit the Giraffe Centre where you will feed and also take photos with them. This will be followed by a visit to Karen Blixen Museum and then lunch. Later shall drop your off at the airport for your flight back home.
